INTRODUCTION
This course covers the hazardous locations and areas where flammable liquids, gases, vapors or combustible dusts exist in sufficient quantities to produce an explosion or fire. In hazardous locations, specially designed equipment and special installation techniques must be used to protect against the explosive and flammable potential of these substances.
By the end of this course, trainees will be familiar with all types of EX equipment and their use in the industries and with gas groups, temperature class and hazardous locations. Also, EX equipment maintenance and repair will be discussed.
